Carrying on the family tradition, Tracy began working as a summer office clerk for Pat at the age of thirteen, though she often accompanied her mom to work since she was a baby.
Known as "Little Pat" around the Common Sense office, Tracy became a valued asset to Pat through working in summer jobs around the office. She eventually became an executive assistant to Pat shortly after Butler Realty Services became a company in 2007, but school and other opportunities lead her out of Arizona in 2008. After receiving her Bachelor of Arts in English and in Psychology from Ottawa University in Ottawa, Kansas, she accepted a job in Atlanta, Georgia at JSD Developments, LLC. She took her knowledge of customer service, property management and office management to the next level as personal executive assistant to Stephanie Bell, the owner, investor, and agent of JSD Developments. Tracy was responsible for managing Ms. Bell's personal portfolio of properties throughout the Atlanta metro area as well as managing the bookkeeping, record keeping, and clerical aspects of the business. This included assisting in acquiring distressed homes for renovation and resale. While at JSD Developments, Tracy organized the office, IT, and other aspects of Ms. Bell's business and personal life to allow Ms. Bell the opportunity to focus on her next big project instead of concentrating on the small stuff.
To be closer to her family, Tracy moved back to Arizona in 2012 and rejoined the family business. Though she's officially only been in the business for 15 years, there's not much Tracy hasn't seen or handled in the day-to-day running of a property management office. Her expertise is synthesizing the overall business picture into a smaller, workable and organized approach to accomplish company goals.
She holds a Master of Arts in English and Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University. In her free time, she dons historical costumes complete with a terrible British accent and frequents renaissance festivals around the country. She is also a published author in fiction.
Tracy received her real estate license through the Arizona School of Real Estate and Business in August 2016 in order to better serve Butler Realty's clients. She is a member of the National Association of Realtors® and Phoenix Association of Realtors®.
With over 30 years of experience in every facet of real estate, it's difficult to find a situation that Pat doesn't know how to manage.
Originally from Peru, Illinois, Pat moved to the Phoenix area in the 1970s and was instantly charmed by the city. While working in various office capacities in construction, she became a licensed real estate agent. Soon after, Pat became an agent for home builder Sundial Enterprises in the Paradise Valley area. This began a long and varied career in real estate in the Valley, including low-income multi-family housing where she was known for educating both tenants and owners on their rights in the residential rental world. Her company, Common Sense Property Management, blazed many trails through the most difficult neighborhoods with her "straightforward and honest" approach to life and business. She received the Prophet Amos award from Catholic Social Services for her involvement in crime free multi-housing and her unswerving dedication to helping those in need. Pat has also been recognized by the Glendale and Phoenix police departments, various local governmental bodies and more for her efforts and expertise.
She has been known throughout the industry for her small business, women-managed and family-owned firms. After closing Common Sense Property Management, Pat became Designated Broker to two firms in the Scottsdale area, but quickly knew she could take what she learned from previous experience and combine it with new opportunities in the area. Downsizing, she developed Butler Realty Services to meet the leasing, management and sales needs of her clients. Since its inception in 2007, Pat has earned a reputation for her hard work, her honesty, and her dedication to her clients in providing top-notch service.
Despite her busy schedule, Pat still found time to have a family and a menagerie of animals. She belongs to the Stewardship Council and Women's Auxiliary at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Phoenix, participates in other functions within the church when time allows, and is an avid bowler.
Pat is a member of the National Association of Realtors®, Scottsdale Area Association of Realtors® and the Phoenix Association of Realtors®.
